Çambükü Project

Bodrum, Mugla, Türkiye

Çambükü, one of Bodrum's well-preserved areas, defines an as yet unspoiled part of the geography, as its name suggests, with a tranquil coastline dominated by pine and cedar trees.

In addition to the area's natural characteristics, Demir Evleri and Aman Ruya, examples created by human hands, also make this impressive geography a powerful yet tranquil tourism and relaxation focus.

The Çambükü residential project was conceived as an independent residential project that will work alongside Aman Ruya Hotel, utilizing the establishment's amenities to a certain extent. The fundamental concept of the design is to create an original settlement that is almost hidden within the dense tree texture, connected to it. While doing this, to be able to create a living space as free as possible from vehicular traffic.

Fragmented residential units are being placed within the thin-trunked pine grove with the help of specific modules. These units consist of wooden frame structures that intersect with each other at different support points.

While the wooden texture in the structures communicates with the grove, the fragmented states of the structures settling on the land without damaging existing trees are being reshaped within nature.
